Dunn Leading the Met Multiplier

8 June 2015 Since the inception of the Met Multiplier in the 2012/13 season a total of 67 pacers or trotters have won the bonus equating to a total pay-out of over half a million dollars.  26 have won the bonus this season. Each bonus is $7,500 with $5,000 going to the owners and $2,500 to the trainer.  Leading the way with eight bonuses is prominent trainer Robert Dunn with his winners taking home an additional $60,000 on top of stakes won. Massive conflict of interest

Courtesy of HarnessLink In January of this year, we raised the matter of the starter Peter Lamb being used as a steward at a harness racing meeting at Nelson. When we approached Harness Racing New Zealand about the conflict of interest that existed between the two positions, we were assured it was a cost saving measure at the busiest point of the holiday racing period and that it was only a temporary measure.
